This book portrays Elvis in the prime of his
live; 1970. The book opens with a 1969 photograph, followed by some
pictures taken on tour in the fall of 1970. After this we jump back to the
Houston Astrodome concerts, February 1970, taking of with some pictures
of Elvis in a jeep entering the Houston Astrodome's arena. After this
about 20 on stage pics. A few press-reviews are next, some show-dates of
the first tour, September 9-14, and some on-stage pics from end 1970.
After this the book finishes with about 60 images of the years 2 tours;
September 1970 and November 1970. The book opens with an introduction by
David Briggs, and is really worthwhile. The liner-notes are not very
informative, but the printed press-reviews together with the pictures
give a good view of the heights Elvis reached only one year after his
sensational come-back to the public stage. |
