  E N C O R E   P E R F O R M A N C E   - Joseph A Tunzi / Photobook / Published 1990

This is one of my favorite Tunzi books, displaying pictures of Elvis touring the USA, June 1972. Elvis is looking very mature and confident in these photographs. I don't know if Elvis ever doubted his talent (I personally think he did now and then, of course without a reason), but in this book a very confident entertainer is portrayed. He did conquer Las Vegas and New York, the tours he gave where record breaking all the way, he did have a top ten hit with Burning Love, 2 successfully documentary's in only 1.5 year time, and this all shows of in these  pictures. Elvis sure looked very good in the summer of '72, and this means a lot better then during the April tour while filming Elvis On Tour. The foreword is done by Joan Deary, in which she states to catalogue about 200 (!) concerts in the RCA vaults. So we may still expect a bit from RCA and the FTD record label.
