T H E   E L V I S   E N C Y C L O P E D I A   - David Stanley / Biography / Published 1994

Is this the definitive reference book on the King.? I don't know, but have my doubts. This book holds a lot of photographs and information, but doesn't bring anything new. If you want to have a real inside look in Elvis' life I recommend The final Years(Jerry Hopkins) or Careless love(Peter Guralnick), and the best books about the music achievements The Concert Years and A Life In Music. The book holds a lot of facts about the films (one page for every film), all the official releases by RCA, a top 40 hits list, audience numbers for almost all concerts in the seventies, but marking David Stanley as an insider this is just another missed change.
