Sometimes a book comes along which is called an essential almost immediatly, and this is just such a book. It holds a detailled account of all the recording sessions Elvis ever held, accompanied with background information and circumstances of the production and process, musicians, venues, engineers, dates and time. It breeds out respect for the musician and the man, and although this book does not give much information about unreleased songs, it is a delight to read. If you want to have only a few books, be sure to get this one.
